Power's Lookout
After we attended the wedding in Bonnie Doon, we did quite a bit of trotting around bush country. One of our stops was at Power's Lookout. Harry Power lived from 1819 to 1891. He was one of the "bush rangers", (robber, outlaw, highwayman, brigand, etc.) who hid in the bush between various raids on, and robberies of, more civilized folk. His aerie let him spot pursuers from afar. He was in and out of jail quite a bit and judging by the size of the reward the citizens put up they considered him to be a major pain in the ass.
