Tintagel
Tintagel and its associated ruins are located on the Cornish west coast. According to legend it is the birthplace of King Arthur. Archaeological research has determined that there were in fact some settlements around 400 ACE. The current ruins are of a castle and associated structures dating from around 1000 ACE. It took about seven hours of clambering up and down and back and forth to cover the whole site.
