Avro CF-100 Canuck
The two-seat two-engine Canuck is the only Canadian fighter going into mass production. This was in 1946. In 1952 it became the first straight-winged aircraft to exceed Mach 1.0. A total of 692 were produced and in 1981 it was retired from service. At various times it served as interceptor of Soviet aircraft and later as electric counter measures aircraft simulating enemy aircraft during NORAD exercises. The pictures 4 and 5 are included to show how fiendishly complicated the cockpit is.
